Acceptable Use Policy

Rules that protect WAFRA, our customers, and the public.

Effective date: 14 July 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all servers, domains, email, and related services provided by WAFRA. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Prohibited uses

You must not use WAFRA services for:

  • Spam, phishing, scam pages, malware, botnets, or open mail relays/proxies
  • DDoS or attacking third parties
  • Child sexual abuse material (immediate termination and reporting as required)
  • Content or activity illegal under Qatar law
  • Copyright or trademark infringement
  • Cryptocurrency mining that abusively consumes resources or is otherwise banned
  • Unauthorized scanning, hacking, or credential stuffing
  • Storing or distributing content that creates a serious security risk to the network

3. Resource abuse

Sustained load that harms infrastructure or other customers may be throttled or suspended.

4. Email

You are responsible for all mail sent from your servers. Bulk email must be opted-in and lawful.

5. Enforcement

WAFRA may investigate alleged violations; suspend with or without prior notice for serious abuse; terminate services; retain logs as needed for investigation; and cooperate with law enforcement and upstream providers when lawfully required.

6. Customer duties

Secure your servers; respond to abuse notices (target response within 48 hours); and remediate issues promptly.

7. Reporting

Report abuse per our Abuse Policy or email abuse@wafra.net.

8. Relationship to Terms

Breach of this AUP is a breach of the Terms of Service.
