Backup & Data Retention Policy

Best-effort WAFRA-managed backups for eligible products.

Effective date: 14 July 2026

1. Eligible products

Cloud VPS and eligible dedicated servers with Hestia or Coolify agent backups enabled by default (baked into the plan).

2. Mechanism

Backups use restic to Backblaze B2, typically daily, retaining the last 5 snapshots. Storage is capped roughly at disk_gb × 5 + 2 GB.

3. What’s covered

Full filesystem with standard exclusions such as /proc, /sys, /dev, /tmp, /run, caches, and one-file-system limits.

4. Not covered / carve-outs

  • cPanel dedicated: customer manages backups (WHM/JetBackup, etc.)
  • Multi-mount volumes may be incomplete
  • Best-effort only — the agent must be healthy

5. Location

Backup copies are stored on Backblaze B2 and may not match the VM’s country or region.

6. Customer duty

Maintain independent backups of critical data.

7. Cancellation / unpaid delete

WAFRA-managed B2 prefixes are wiped on cancel or unpaid permanent delete. There is no post-cancel retention window.

8. Liability

Liability is limited per the Terms of Service. WAFRA does not guarantee successful restore or protection against all data loss. See also the Privacy Policy.
